I have created this blog to document some of the techniques/patterns/tricks that I have come across during some of my projects.

Calgary .Net User Group Presentation from May 8, 2008
I had the opportunity to present at the Calgary .Net User group. The presentation served as an introduction to BizTalk Server 2006 R2 and highlighted some scenarios in which you would use BizTalk Server.
We are upgrading from BizTalk 2006 to BizTalk 2006 R2 ( and later to make use of ESB) Are there any gotchas we need to be aware of. We dont use any LOB adapters etc.
For the most part, I would say that it is pretty seamless.
Since you are not using the LOB adapters your schemas should survive the upgrade no problem. For instance the new WCF based SAP adapter generates a different set of schemas than the original .Net Connector based adapter did.
Fundamentally all of your elements will still exist, but you would need to make some modifications inside your solution in order to make the switch.

Good Luck.
